This story is set in a fictional Sultanate inspired by the 13th–15th century medieval era, a period defined by absolute monarchy and rigid patriarchal rule . During this time, the Sultan held unquestioned authority his command was law, and loyalty to the throne outweighed morality, emotion, and individual will.

Society was strictly hierarchical. Power flowed from the throne, through noble families and military elites, and down to those who had no voice at all especially women. Honor, obedience, and lineage were valued above personal happiness.

Social and Political Structure of the Era

Absolute Monarchy:

The Sultan ruled without opposition. Courts existed to enforce his will, not to challenge it. Justice was swift, often cruel, and final.

Patriarchal Society:

Men controlled inheritance, decision-making, and public authority. Women were legally and socially dependent on male guardians fathers, husbands, or rulers.

Power Marriages:

Marriage was a political tool. Women were married to secure alliances, strengthen bloodlines, end conflicts, or reward loyalty. Consent was not required; obedience was expected.

Female Position in Society:

Women were denied the right to choose their future. They could not openly resist, question authority, or take public stands for themselves. Silence was survival. Endurance was duty.

Royal Courts and Inner Chambers:

While men ruled openly, women existed behind walls within palaces, harems, and private quarters where emotions, jealousy, sacrifice, and quiet suffering shaped their lives.
